Howarth brand oboes are manufactured in England, and are available in a variety of models suited for any level of player from the student to the professional. All models are made entirely of wood and contain all necessary key work, including low B-flat and left hand F keys. The instruments are backed by a one-year crack warranty, and are extremely resistant to cracking because of the specialized African Blackwood that is used in their manufacture. In addition, a rubber composite lining can be added inside the top joint of any Howarth oboe at no extra charge for additional crack protection. The student models are highly recommended because of their durable key work and sturdy, protective cases. There are three student models and two professional models available, assuring a fit for any budget.
The english horns manufactured by Howarth have a great reputation because of their beautiful tone, stability of tuning, ease of playing, and reliability of construction. Two student models and two professional models are available, including the S20c that is ideal for individuals with smaller hands.
Moosmann bassoons are manufactured in Germany, with great attention to the selection of wood, the detailing of tone hole placement and lining, and the craftsmanship of the key work. Moosmann players enjoy a rich, full tone quality and evenness of tone and pitch throughout all registers. There are three student models, including the “extended reach” for players with smaller hands, and three professional models to choose from.
